JAYCE Robinson and Lyndon Wake, South of the Border, ripped fresh off the pages of their Irish journal.

It used to be the case that Euro surfers fled south or east in winter, seeking solace from the harsh winter. Now a few are heading west to Ireland and one of the most active storm basins, the Northern Atlantic.

"We plan on a decent stint to surf, explore, and experience Ireland's potential." Says Jayce, out of the water, sporting a knee badly twisted by Mullaghmore. "This edit was filmed in November, a very testing time. Nowhere near as cold as it will get, but we experienced intense gale force winds and severe hail storms almost every day, punctuated by small windows of opportunity"

"You've all seen the Mully session which went down. Here is the build up to that day. I would like to say thanks to the local surfers, Richie Fitzgerald etc. for welcoming us with open arms and letting us surf the waves that they pioneered many years ago. And our good friend Luke pilbeam for filming and editing such an epic journey."
