A year 'in review' at the world's best left by Jarred Hancox, surf guide extraordinaire at Java's G-Land. The wave itself is split into sections, commencing with Kongs, moving through Moneytrees and Launch Pads before Speedies provides the money shots.

"This season I arrived in G-Land, writes Jarred, Bobby's Surf Camp on May 1st to begin my 2009 season as the camp's surf guide. 25 days later, the magical Speedies lit up for an entire morning. Nobody expected it so it wasn't too crowded. Here Chris Brown from Margaret River puts his WA slab surfing skills to good use and gets an absolute smoking, piping, barrel! Chris was charging hard all morning, pulling in ridiculously deep and often making them."
