JAMIE Sterling becomes the Big Kahuna with maiden Big Wave World Tour win at Peru's Pico Alto.

"I’m very emotional since this is the first time I have won a Big Wave World Tour event" said the smiling Hawaiian.

Pico Alto showed why it deserves to be the second stop on the Big Wave World Tour. With face heights exceeding 35ft it was challenging day's competition for all. Certainly far from the blue sky of the eventual champion's native Hawaii.
Perennial 'seeker' Jamie Sterling is normally to be found scouring the globe for waves of consequence.
