Best time of my life. Lived on the Bukit for a bit at Mades Mades right in front of Impossibles and Padang. The most amazing people in the world. Killer shrooms and sunsets too. Loved it.
Pic 8: they ain't kidding about aiming for that small cave to exit. It's beautiful when you walk down the stairs and it opens up to the break, but getting back in is definitely a beeyotch! The break is far enough out that you can't surf in either, not that you'd want as you're too fast to steer straight into the opening. It's an adventure in itself and if you do miss it, just remember you're in paradise and your little detour makes a great story over a few Bintangs later!
I agree , there is so much shit from America bombing the Middle East that Asia needs help, and for the people who can surf crowds are not really a problem. The people who talk shit are the ones who are lonely and suffering. Respect to Indo and its people.

I dont know how to send a message thru the message board thing, so using this. Do you sell any of your pictures, as I would very much like to be able to do a deal for the pic No. 6 in the slide show thingy. Its a perfect picture of a perfect day of one of my favourite places in the world. I know that whole section so very well, and know all amazing moods and intricacies, and your one sure captures the ideal.

yes.all my photos 4 sale.this is my favourite spot in bali to sit and watch the swells wrap in.but for how long.massive development is coming to the bukit.5 years ago i would sit here with cows a place where i found serenity after the madness of surfing bingin or uluwatu..
I know the spot well too. We stumbled across shrooms, the enjoyable ones, all over those hills once about 5 years ago. They went well with nasi goreng and evening glass-offs.
So how do I go about obtaining one of your photos?
hey guys..bali rocks, yea its crowded but just take a different road n experience an uncrowded spot. the island offers so much..rich culture and consistent quality waves which are insane. it is a proving ground with heaps of talent in the water, u gotta prove yourself to get waves..otherwise to the top surfers in the water you'll just be another kook. bali and its locals command respect..i loved the island..def will go back over and over..always venturing to new places..peace
you guys trying to make bali even more crowded ?
not that its a secret that its good :)
but its also a waste of time..
ridiculous crowds . been lots of times and i dont think i'll go back....
ok maybe
Both Bali and Indo have had a hard time over the past 10 to 15 years. The Sari Club bombing, the more recent Tsunami and various other political problems that have all put tourists off. I say good on ya magicseaweed, nice to give these guys a little bit of promotion. After all, they have provided surfers from all over the world with open arms hospitality for years. To mr poopoo from South Africa, there still are completely empty spots on both Bali and all over Indo; you just to get off the beaten track a bit and stop follwing the crowd so to speak!
