Surf Lessons at Croyde and Saunton in Devon and Surfing Holidays

Surf South West run surf lessons, surfing courses and surf holidays at Croyde Bay in Devon, and Saunton Sands, North Devon, England. Established in 1996, 2011 is our 16th year as the premier surfing centre providing surf lessons in the UK for all levels including 'learn to surf' beginner surfing lessons. Surf South West is proud to be the first surf school to be awarded Level 4 status by the British Surfing Association. Level 4 is the highest level attainable.

Our North Devon surfing beaches and surf schools are the closest in the southwest to London, the Midlands and the north of England. Travel time from London to Croyde, Devon is 3-4 hours by car and we are only 45 to 60 minutes from the M5, much closer than surf beaches in Cornwall. Croyde Bay in North Devon is renowned as one of the best and most consistent surf beaches in the UK.

UK Courses

Surf South West run the UK’s leading surf schools and was the first to be awarded Level 4 status by the British Surfing Association. This is the highest level attainable and is awarded in recognition that we have the highest standards of coaching.

Based in Croyde Bay, Devon, our experience and reputation has ensured that we are the only surf school officially permitted to instruct surfing on both Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands. This means we have satisfied the stringent conditions imposed by the beach owners to ensure that we operate safely and professionally. We have fully equipped surf schools on both beaches.

Surfing Holidays

Surf South West are pioneers of the surf holiday experience. Our first group holiday was to Lanzarote in 1997 and since then, we haves expanded, offering both group and customised holidays to more destinations. We specialise in guided trips with our instructors on hand and our recipe for a memorable holiday has always remained the same...great surf, warm waves, good times.
