THIS is a swell call for well overhead surf along almost the entire western facing Indian Ocean coastline. Peak impact is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 16th and 17th along the Indonesian Archipelago. Swell events of this quality are rare with May 2007 being the most notable recent example and this one looks set to deliver a similar punch. Globe trotting surfers have started ringing the camps off the hook and lucky travellers are waxing their guns or putting their boards in bags and getting their cameras out. Currently generating far down in the southern most part of the Indian Ocean the swell will first strike Western Oz before continuing its 2000 mile journey to the Indonesia.
yep saw the lines already in Phuket great spots will be had alone, still only about 4ft windy, but the hot spots are only for a hand full of us, who know where they are
Im in Canggu at the moment, 8km north of Kuta and the swell is here big time. Was out 6am this morning with 10 foot sets rolling in. Tommorow gets bigger and it supposedly holds through Wednesday and Thursday. Barrel time! Will upload some videos from Padang Padang tommorow... much love from the happiest guy ever x
