Blue Buckets have been tipping over in the Teahupoo reef pass all week. Trialists - whether name locals like Vetea David, or relative unknowns such as Australian Damien Wills - have taken the fury head on. --
 The horizon line on this shot is pretty much straight, it's just this wave is on such a busted, messed-up angle. No problem for human submarine, Raimana Van Bastolaer. --
 Former Pipe Master Jamie O'Brien, not only scored some absolute conkers like this during the free surf, but put the contest vest back on to beat a raging Bruno Santos in the final of the VZ Trials a couple of days later. JOB will bring a whole new of fearlessness and flair to the main event.
