DAY four proved to be another day of sunshine and small surf at the Billabong Pro Tahiti. Here's Ronnie Blakey, GT and Luke Egan's daily take.

After this comp the axe will fall on the 45, reducing it to the 32. Jay "Bottle" Thompson is a popular guy seemingly unconcerned at facing the axe if he doesn't pull a huge rabbit out of the hat.

All the talk on day four at Teahupoo has been of a pulse of swell arriving over night. Here's hoping but it doesn't look massive. There's more joy further down the road thankfully.
