I bet Tom Lowe or Fergal Smith would give it go. Big, shifting, cold water is what they're used to, but may have to take up Kung-Fu for the Great Whites!
I see your point but it is hard to tell.. Those boys ride absolute beasts. Stewie has done macking Jaws and Alistair Taylor done huge Mavericks. I don't think they ride them normally because of the style of the wave is not suited to a sponge. This beast looks like a top to bottom mutant, just what those guys look for... I hate to bring it up again as it is used in nearly every sponge comparison.. but the Mitch Bowes River pick on this site. Thats massive and super hollow.... Either way, sponge or not. I can't wait to see someone ride this monster!!
Mitches Bowes River pic is my personal favorite photo in the history of surf photography, so don't feel bad for mentioning it sneaks, it's a great compaison to these monsters...
