“Tonel Cottage” is perfectly located for both the west and south coast surfing beaches of the SW Algarve.
The cottage is extremely close to Tonel Beach on the west coast and a five minute walk from Sagres town centre and the south coast break of Mareta. Many other beaches are close by, giving surfers a great choice of waves in varied conditions.

Consistent north west swells deliver quality waves to The Algarve’s west coast, the bigger swells wrapping around Cape St Vincent to produce waves on the south coast’s sheltered beaches. Warm sunny days and consistent surf make this area a joy to explore.

Tonel Cottage is a well thought out, beautifully restored fisherman’s cottage ideally able to accommodate 4 people, however can sleep up to 6.
The accommodation comprises one double bedroom, a second bedroom upstairs with two single beds, and a great comfortable double sofa bed.

There are two bathrooms with plenty of hot solar water. A kitchen/lounge. Fully equipped with self-catering facilities for up to 6 people, there is also a flat screen TV for watching films, a DVD player and an iPod docking music system. An outside area provides table, chairs and a BBQ. All linen and towels are supplied.

Notes on Accommodation:
Inside Tonel Cottage is a non-smoking zone. Kindly note that the accommodation is not suitable for large groups of singles. There is a minimum booking of 3 nights. Sorry no pets.

Being the last settlement on the south west corner of mainland Europe, Sagres is known locally as the ‘End of the World’. The Romans called it this, believing that when the sun sank into the sea off the headland it marked the end of their world. Nowadays the town has countless bars, cafes and restaurants, mini-markets, a post office, tourist office, chemist and several well equipped surf stores where you can hire boards, suits, and arrange lessons. The more experienced surfers might prefer to bring your own boards with you.

Within the protected Natural Park of Costa Vicentina, Sagres and its surroundings offer an incredible variety of other activities including walking, dolphin-watching, bicycle hire, scuba-diving, horse-riding, blo-karting and windsurfing. Or if all that sounds too energetic, you could always just relax.
It is highly recommended that you arrange car hire for your trip.
