This SE-facing beach tames the SW swell and orders it into nice, easy rollin' rides for the hordes of beginners, longboarders and every other type of craft. Has some rocky formations at both ends including Drainoes, a peak that leans towards the lefts halfway out towards Point Danger, a spot where kites and windsurfers traverse the boggy rights and is rarely any good for a paddle.
Super crowded in summer plus a large clubbie presence eminating from the large SLSC at the SW end.

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
