Tropicsurf will set the benchmark in luxury surf travel with the launch of its new 113-foot boat, purpose-built for surfing. Set to sail in April 2008, Tropic Breeze will cruise the secluded outer atolls of the Maldives year round providing the ultimate experience in guided surfing vacations.
A year in the making, this beautiful boat has been designed specifically for surfers by Tropicsurf, and CEO Ross Phillips considers it the best Maldivian live-a-board vessel to date. For the first time, Tropicsurf will be employing and training its own Maldivian crew. According to Phillips, we expect to offer a standard of service unsurpassed in the surf charter industry.
Guests aboard Tropic Breeze will be flown in by private seaplane, allowing them access to un-crowded and in some cases, virgin waves. Tropic Breeze comes with a Jet Ski for tow-ins and water safety as well as two tenders; a 40hp speedboat and a 30-foot doni for the surfboards.
Tropic Breeze is spacious and comfortable with eight private, serviced guest cabins featuring air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and a complimentary laundry service. In the evening, guests can sit back with a drink from the bar and view their daily surf footage or relax with a DVD, music or book from the large onboard selection. The spacious boat also has large living and lounge areas. An Australian chef will prepare sumptuous meals for guests to be enjoyed in the alfresco restaurant setting.
For those imperfect days or when guests are simply out-surfed, Tropic Breeze will offer a huge range of crossover experiences such as stand up paddling, tow-in instructional courses, kite surfing, underwater breath-holding and relaxation techniques, stretch classes and video analysis so that surfers can still get wet, keep active and learn new skills.
With an onboard spa facility, guests can indulge in a massage at the end of the day or enjoy many of the other activities on offer such as kayaking, snorkelling, fishing, and cooking classes. Beach BBQs on private white-sand beaches, island sightseeing and cultural presentations are also available.
A surfari aboard the stylish and spacious Tropic Breeze will be a once in a lifetime experience. Tropic Breeze is available for shared cruises and private charters.
Established in 2002, Tropicsurf provides guided, luxury, surfing holidays for all abilities. Tropicsurf pioneered surf travel in the outer atolls of the Maldives and the company continues to discover new and remote locations for surfers.
