"Originally I was an electrician by trade, after my four year apprenticeship I dropped it, went on the on the dole and chased my surfing dream.
Turns out I wasn't so good, it didn’t work out, and my parents told me to get a job ... Murray Bourton from the infamous Pipedream Surfboards was advertising for someone, I got the job and started out cleaning the floor.
He taught me how to glass and sand, and gradually a bit of shaping, before eventually I ended up managing his business."
