King Kelly has been crowned the 2008 Boost Mobile Champion at Lowers Trestles and is heading to Hossegor for the Quik Pro France
Rated No.1 in the world and with a demanding lead Kelly Slater will be wanting dominate (again) the thumping waves of La Graviere, the main contest site for the event, and could possibly wrap things up here in true French way.Numero uno.

The king of everything and 8 times world champion loves France and always spends plenty of time in the challenging waves of Seignosse and Hossegor.

Last year after the Quik Pro the waves cooked for about 2 weeks straight and the surf never dropped below 5 feet.

The king and the crop were out in force. From Kelly, Bobby, the Hobgoods,Wardo to Tom Curren the exchange was wave for wave and awesome. These guys can barrel ride.

I can't wait.

Hello my friend Year 2009 might have some gloom within the economic world, but the fun can never end. Take advantage and start to live the life of pleasure and leisure. I recently returned from a 6 week trip to South Africa where i connected with a couple of my old buddies like Lu Whittaker in Mossel Bay and surfboard shaping experimental genuis, Lampies, in East London. It was summer there, so this meant baggies at times and fullsuit further South for Mossel Bay. Personally the best part of my surf voyage with the Mossel Bat stay where i scored epic waves with the locals and got to hangout with Lampies and talk about the good old dayz. I arrived back in France mid February to witness the devastation of a wind storm in Hossegor (and surrounding areas) where trees were forced out the ground (his whole area is actually sea sand) and/or snapped in half. The officials say that 60% of the local forest was totally destroyed by the storm. The fallen trees blocked roads and caused chaos. Have you ever seen trees snapped in Half? Ok, back to business, so i have been pretty busy preparing the surf house, building the new website www.kosurfhouse.com and already had my first clients (dela Salle College) And i have also got back into the shaping bay at Euroglass in Hossegor. I started shaping full time with Mark Phipps last year and we introduced to Plonka shortboard to the European market through quiksilver-surfboards and the shops. And i and currently working (the first 1 is already shapes and glassed) the new advanced slick stick plonka 2 which is thinner and slicker. You can see the website link below. http://www.quiksilver-surfboards.com/news/index.php The shapes are getting better everyday and the sales are looking good too. But it's all about volume within the shape and the floatation over the flatter sections......check this out. You can also find loads of my other movies on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGCudljy7_Y And i have setup my marine tank in the office, i have a baby shark (Dogfish) in his egg. I had a big crab, mussels and oysters, then i took the mussel cracking crab out (he pissed me off) chucked into the river in front of the house and installed a couple cool looking sea eneminies(?) I have attached a recent picture and you can sea the active living shark eggs. So my story being that we can still be having fun and doing the things that make us happy. I want to experience better things in the future. Go well and i hope to see you soon. Summers coming. Yours in surfing Kevin Olsen
