Warning - Dangerous Rip Tide at Hosta

There is a dangerous rip tide (current) flowing out to sea alongside the very sharp/jagged rocks at the north end of the beach. On the right looking our to sea. I would advise swimmers (and others) to keep well clear of this area.

the rip is the only way out on a big day, it is your friend. When it gets above about 6-8ft you need to jump off the rocks and take your chances. At low tide the sand is about 2-3' down, no room for error on take off. Come up and enjoy; Hosta is only the MSW highlight, if you are good you'll be impressed.
