WavePark finishes construction on two new bungalows.

In November 2007, construction was begun on 2 beachside bungalows on the island on Mainuk.

With help from a fellow kiwi and our local crew, it took 6 months to get the bungalows finished.

The new beachside front bungalows are only 10 meters from one of the nicest beaches in all of Mentawai. Designed with respect for traditional Mentawais aesthetics, a simple thatched roofline covers the extent of the porch, living room and bedroom. Each bungalow can sleep 4, but is optimally designed for two. With a indoor outdoor double shower and double marble vanities with hot/cold water, the bungalows are set up to be a honeymooner's suite. The verandah looks directly down the barrel at Hideaways, with a view of the sunset behind the wave. The bungalows also have their own DVD/Sound System and eventually a TV and minibar.
For the 2008 season, we are charging no more for the bungalow accommodation than the 2 story, 3 bedroom "hotel" accommodation. We are giving preference to return WavePark guests and time share holders as a thank you for supporting us and allowing us to provide them with a new level of comfort.
