We've made a little adjustment to the layout of the site to make it
easier to navigate. We've also added a big plug at the top for
Surfaid - a bit of christmas goodwill to support an excellent
organisation trying to make sure that as travelling surfers we're
sharing the wealth with people living with perfect waves, but imperfect
medical care and education. We're
really pleased to have been able to work with Oceanographer and Big
wave surfer Dr Tony Butt to develop some articles explaining the finer
points of surf forecasting. Tony will also be working with us to
develop new forecasting tools and using the knowledge he's accumulated
in the search for big waves to help us tune our data for the most
demanding surfer. You can find links to these articles on our front
page or in the surf science section. We've made a minor change
to your local forecast to show the latest swell and wind direction on
the map and we've got some more improvements here coming soon too.
