ARE you a bit bored of the same old ideas? Chase Burns is attempting something a little bit different.
Big Saturday, Bell's Beach, April 18th 1981, meets massive Bells in 2010, connected via the same single fin which just lost out to the Simon Anderson. Almost thirty years later the board is still capable.
Throughout this series Chase aims to embrace escapism through joining the dots of then and now. Your thoughts?
I enjoyed the video, thanks for that. I grew up during that time, there were always different ways people rode as there is today,, what matters is what you personally get from your riding. some like to rip and some like to flow,, its all good when your doing what is right for you. Biggest thing i miss from the 70's 80's has to do with the number of people now in the line up's....
Interesting.., was chatting to a single fin owner today at Sennen. They're not the same as they used to be, and an option worth exploring on the speedier down-the-line breaks. Looks like I may be heading back to my roots. Saw an old-skool single-fin shredder at Sanur last June who whet my appetite a bit as well. Butch Hawkins here I come. Cool vid.
Love it also!!!!!!!!Awesome, loved seeing how it was done before the thrusters came along.Single fin and twinnies footage.....the whole vid had me glued need more of the 70's stuff don't see enough come on MSW sort it!!!!
