Matt Rott went on his first surf trip in 1995, and moved permanently to the South Pacific five years later at the age of 19. Since that time, he has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, completed an Ironman distance triathlon, contributed to various international periodicals, and travelled and surfed in over 40 countries. When not in the water, Matt can be found practising yoga, camping and mountain biking, writing and composing music, and obsessing over swell models. He currently spends six months per year based in Micronesia, and the other six wandering the globe in search of waves, culture, and a lifetime’s worth of stories.
