you can surf from la union to zambales to baler to samar or to siargao. pretty good swells and the people are friendly and hospitable.. born and raised in philippines.

Bad press seems to find its way out of the philippines and its too bad. The place has beatiful beaches and great waves and wonderful friendly people. ZERO surfing violence.. And if you are going to bring the girlfriend, they will be treated as a fashion model by the local girls. Just avoid the scene of angeles city for girl bars and the deep south for the rebels..
