This chart shows current wind strength for the UK and surrounding waters. The data is grabbed from the NDBC Buoys every few minutes, the image then updated every quarter of an hour. You can expect the actual data to be about an hour old. The chart is pretty simple to interpret, the larger the arrow, the stronger the wind. (A grey arrow indicates that the buoy data is more than 3 hours old and can't be trusted, a red dot means data for the buoy is unavailable)
