2 and 1/2 Minutes with Romain Cloitre
Who features in the clip?
It’s just me on this clip, this is my first video from 2013. Filmed and edited by Carlo Coral from Bali, a cool guy.
Where was it filmed?
For this clip I surfed Keramas, Uluwatu and Canggu. There are so many fun waves in Bali and I was lucky to get some good swell. The last three days of my trip I was surfing Keramas early morning until the wind changed then I was going to Uluwatu for the afternoon surf.
When was it filmed?
In April I went to Bali for two weeks with my girlfriend. France was too cold and I felt the need to surf every day, all day, so Bali was perfect for this.
Why was it filmed?
Everywhere I go i’m trying to bring back some footage, it’s important to improve yourself and make my sponsors happy. I had a bad start this year on the Tour because of injury but now I feel good and I’m frothing on surfing like when I was a 13-year-old.
Where is home at the moment?
I live at Capbreton right now and I heading back to Reunion Island as much as I can. But Reunion Island for two years has suffered a terrible crisis because of the shark attacks!
What are your ambitions for this year?
I’m only 24-years-old and i love competing. I really want to do my best on the WQS, I want some results and to get my confidence back. My goal is to qualify for the World Tour in the coming years. Sooner the better!
