Andy Irons RIP

by on Wednesday 3rd November, 2010   51065 Views

TODAY the surfing world mourns the death of Andy Irons. The three time world champion was found dead in his hotel room after succumbing to suspected dengue fever.

Andy was a true champion who had battled through private demons to get back to the top of the world culminating in his recent win in Tahiti.

The elder of the dynamic Irons brothers, Andy was a fearsome competitor, especially so when it got heavy. He inspired a generation with his surfing and our thoughts are with his family at this tragic juncture.
