G-Land has to be one of August’s hot tickets. With comfortable beds and restaurant food waiting for you on the beach, it no longer represents the forefront of surf exploration, but that doesn’t detract from the raw power and consistent quality of the wave itself, which keeps grinding away with the same ferocity as the year it was discovered.
Last week a pulsating swell wrapped around Grajagan Bay for a week straight, giving visitors a glimpse of the many faces G-Land has to offer. This same swell lit up the Bukit peninsula and provided competitors at the Rip Curl Cup with some sizable Padang-Padang tubes.
