THEY seek him here, they seek him there. One story of search and discovery on a coast far from anywhere.
I'm not from Lahinch or the coast for that matter, even if I might wish I were, so asking people where the secret spots are has never worked. I learned the hard way, put in the time to find it yourself and it will pay off. After buying some ordnance survey maps and studying Google Earth for hours I had a few locations picked out of where this could be but with no joy.
Having just finished watching the Powers of Three for the 50th time, studying it frame by frame hoping to find something that would give away the location of the heaviest, most dredging slab Ireland has hidden on its rugged coastline. There was one clip in the film that was maybe half a second long and I remembered I had a photo with that same glimpse of land. I'd taken a photo of the area a year previously and never clicked. I brought up the photo on the computer and compared it to the clip from the film. This was it, I've found it. Seconds later I'm on the phone to my buddy Wez super psyched for the next time there's a lump of swell and offshore winds.
