Desert Ash

A slick flick from Cornish filmmaker, Tim Boydel, who splurged half his budget on a dolly to imbue some dynamism to the footage.

The featured surfer, Reubyn Ash, is one of Europe’s top aerialists. He has invented his own trick and lands more boosts than most of us have hot dinners. The mechanical workings of the Wadi Adventure wave pool only serve to highlight his scintillating consistency.

This is an entry to the Shorties competition at the London Surf Film Festival. Watch the rest of the entries here.
