SEIGNOSSE, France (Monday, August 18, 2008) – The Rip Curl Pro Hossegor/Seignosse presented by Sprite got underway today at the world famous beachbreak of Les Bourdaines, main venue of the 2008 edition. The Rip Curl Pro, an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 6-Star Prime event, got twenty heats of Round 1 out of the way in good quality three foot (one meter) waves despite the light on-shore winds blowing over Seignosse.
HOURTIN, France (Sunay, August 17, 2008) – Alizee Arnaud (FRA), 18, won her second event of the season today after defeating top regional under-21 female surfers Pauline Ado (FRA), Lee-Ann Curren (FRA) and Canelle Bulard (FRA) in the final of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Grade-2 Kana Miss Cup Pro Junior.
