TRANSWORLD SURF's Imaginarium II, a contest to progress the creativity of surf photography. First up, Body Glove with 8 Bit, a product of Cheyne Magnusson's square-eyed mind.
For Imaginarium 2011, we released last year's restriction of each team having a "theme color," and instead opened up the cerebral floodgates, letting the teams do whatever the hell they wanted. We got a rock show, an underwater wonderland, a video-game throwback, and a groovy single-fin shred fest—four teams with completely different interpretations of what surf photography is all about.
What Is Imaginarium?
We invited four teams from four companies (Body Glove, Billabong, Reef and Rusty) to conceptualize and execute a photographic feature to be shown on the pages of TransWorld SURF. Teams were also responsible for a five-minute video for transworldsurf.com. The teams had two months to go anywhere in the world and shoot anything they wanted. The only rules: no Photoshop and their chosen theme must be reflected throughout the whole submission.
Flick over for the first submission, 8 Bit.
If this is your pick then vote on TransWorldSURF here.
