This 6-8th June, O’Neill Student Surf Masters has teamed up with sustainable travel experts, Ice Cream Surf, and Electric Beach Festival to combine the greatest team-orientated surf competition ever held in the UK with the biggest beach party in Britain.
As part of the O’Neill Today is Perfect Roadtrip, O’Neills eight UK Pro Surfers will play a completely integrated role in the event. The Pros will mentor the surfers with mid-competition expertise throughout Day One. Day two will see the top eight clubs win a coaching session with an O’Neill Pro. The final round of the O’Neill Student Surf Masters sees the most important element yet. The teams will now be allocated their very own O’Neill Pro to compete alongside the students and earn points towards their club total, turning the finals into an all-out battle to be crowned the O’Neill Student Surf Masters Champions.
Ice Cream Surf, will also run series of free workshops lead by industry experts. Topping the bill is an in-depth workshop into the science of surfboard shaping run by British European Longboarding Champion Ben Skinner of Skindog Surfboards. Also on the line up is the Surf Photography workshop lead by one of O’Neill’s published professional surf photographers; Surf Strength and Fitness with Big Green Gorilla Fitness; and DIY creative projects with B7 Studios. Ice Cream Surf will also hold a sustainable surf tourism seminar to discuss their programme of eco-tourism projects.
The final chapter in this epic weekend is the Electric Beach Festival. Now in its third year, the festival will be bringing favourites Grandmaster Flash, Zion Train and many more to the idyllic beach of Watergate Bay, Newquay. The electric combination of good music and good vibes on the sand will provide the perfect backdrop for the greatest, all-encompassing student surfing weekend ever held.
Weekend Tickets only £78.50 and includes 3 nights camping.
