MUNDAKA, Basque Country/Spain (Wednesday, October 1, 2008) - Round 1 of the Billabong Pro Mundaka will run in two to three foot (1 metre) waves at the back-up site of Sopelana today. Heat 1 hit the water at 9am local time.

Those surfers, four of whom are local Basque competitors, will be looking to upset the full-time ASP World Tour field.
