Iconic surfer, Rob Machado, has travelled the world for more than half his life. During that time, he’s crossed paths with countless individuals who share a love for surfing and a passion for the arts. In his new series called Through The Lens, we meet these individuals and follow Rob as he re-connects with the people who’ve inspired him along the way.

In Brazil for the 100K World Water Day project, this episode follows Rob as he meets Alex Atala, world renowned chef and clean water courier. Inspired by his passion and energy, the guys behind ‘Through The Lens’ put this feel good edit together from their time in Brazil as they provide clean water to those otherwise without, exploring the way all humans, from all walks of life, share a common connection through water. Alex leads Rob from fine dinning in Sao Paulo, to surfing and swimming in Rio, to distributing water filters in the Jardim Gramacho slums.
