TOM Lowe’s latest short film, In Winter’s Arms which debuted at the Irish Surf Film Festival is a mind-bending in all the right ways. Edited by Mickey Smith, stick on a brew, sit back and just lose yourself for a wee while.
“Memories from a special Irish winter paddling in.” Said Tom. A huge thank you to Ben Howard for the soundtrack and the boys for the footage and edit.” Lowey is currently injured and out of the water having badly dislocated his arm a few weeks back at Aileens, but he’s not the only one, far worse can and does happen out there. “My ETA for a return to the water is about three months, but I’ll be waiting until the autumn before I get into the heavy stuff.” And so passes the best part of a year in the life of an injured surfer.
