A week in the waiting for a hard day's work, the Quik Pro Gold Coast saw the second round claim some major scalps.
First to fall was Bede Durbidge, followed by both Hobgoods, Kieren Perrow and finally Bobby Martinez in what can only be described as testing conditions. There was a bit of umming and ahhing over whether to start the event or not today as there is swell forecast for the next few days and but go they did as sometimes you just have to do your duty. The wind and current combo made staying in position an iron man slog, lengthening the odds of the wave lottery and levelling the playing field.
Stay tuned as the forecast is looking better for the final few days with the winds dropping and swell shifting increasingly easterly for the start of the third round.
