A ground swell ..... NOAA weather radio reporting. That new Alaska morning, clmbing out of my tent I was greeted by Beautiful waves a solid 6-8ft. I hunted for Waves in Alaska a total of 3 and one half years. Regards, Bob D. Kemp

Wow amazing. I worked in WRST national park over the summer coming from florida. Everyone always talked about yahkatat but i couldnt afford to get down there and i didnt have any gear. But man this brings me back, what an amazing one of a kind park. I wish i could have surfed yahkatat, but back country trips into the chugatch, and wrangle mountain chains make up for it for sure.

Ok, it might not be everyone's idea of Paradise, but how stunning is this place? So inviting yet so dangerous.

Sneakybager . Helo from Perus central cost. I shot this foto March 93. the N Pacific h20 was at about 39 degrees -F. I was taking Ocean and air temperture readings with a mountaineering thermometer. I was using a 5mm suit with hood and a 2mm short sleeve vest underneath 5mm boots and 5mm diving mits. I always kept a good fire going on the beach. plenty of driff wood on Alaskas coast. forever stoked May 24, 2009 Rating: -2
that is like looking to an alternate dimension, all our notions of wave riding are no where near any fault lines where mountains as big as this form, really quite awesome
