Great shot, I,m guessing the photographer got several tons of barrel on his bonce about 2 seconds after this was taken, or am I missing the technique required to pull of this type of shot.

Luke, rubbing spit on the outside of the port BEFORE you get in the water, just like you would do in a dive mask to stop them fogging up. Also, just before you take a shot, dip the port under water, this gives you a few seconds before the the water dissipates leaving you with those droplits.

I was just wondering, what is a good, cheap camera to start out with? I want to make movies of me and my friends bodyboarding. It needs to be able to be watertight at least a little deep. Most of the shots will be shorebreak. Any suggestions? rollinbarrin@gmail.com

I would hazard a guess that this could be dunes or possibly noordhoek... quite a mission to get to, but normally worth it. Awesome photo.

well, looks like - aaaaaah - love that spot, although you might feel very exposed to the open ocean, and everything in there + you have to get it on the right tide; conditions may change from average to absolutely perfect within very short time. it's magical to see it switch to top-notch barrel-steam-trains & tomahawk-lips.
