talking about temps: i agree a suit means nothing, they wear suits in portugal (3/2) in the summer, and its very nice to jsut wear shorts, but they tink you are mad. In fairness i get into my rashie and baordies in the uk summer from july-august, but at the moment, its still a bit too chilly to be in for more than 30 mins. So for those of you not from the UK, if you do pop over then id bring at least a 3/2 - although i know a couple of yanks who cant surf in anything less than a 6/4, or 5/3 even in the summer! hehe. Alos, i bet peopel who dont have to wear suits daily, must HATe it when they do - it takes dome getting used to. pennith over!

its probly a reef break so the water is clear and not full of sand but as for sebastian inlet. i surf that break all the time and there is a couple excusses for the wet suites... 1 the guy in the booties was defenently from orlando! 2 when you live in a climate that is 70% of the year in the high 70's and mid 90's its hard to surf in luke warm water with a breeze lol yeah we are pussys with weather but we shred not matter what the wave conditions are

I watched a guy here paddle in just shorts when the water was 50 degrees, he was only out for one wave though haha

I don't know the area or the local water temps here (and don't feel like lookin em up) but I can tell you the presence of a suit has nothing to do with whether the water is warm or not. One year in spring my buddy and I took a trip to FL to surf Sebastian and some other beaches and the guys down there were all wearing full suits, some had boots on and couldn't believe we were in board shorts. We had never seen so many decent surfers so sissyified by lukewarm water before.

I know he's in a suit, i know the water can't be that warm but it still does look it

Might look warm and tropical but I can guarantee that's it not. Hey Geoff no big cross again thru the shot your slipping, but it looks far better without it.
