is it me or is the guy in this shot facing away from the wave!? and has apparently missed this beauty...I'm no surf maestro, but even if I was confident enough to paddle for this wave I would rather take a risk of going over the falls and making a prick of myself than pretending to ignore the wave even exists...which is more kook?paddling for it and risk everything or pretend you missed potemtially the wave of your life? discuss...

It's you Banger, sorry to say. The guy has the place all to himself and is almost surfed out. He could have paddled for it...but chose to just enjoy the beauty of his surroundings for a little while. Now take your medication and calm down...you hyperactive young varmint!

Awesome picture Grumpy. Beautiful wave. I do think a smaller logo slightly more in the corner would be a slightly better option though. Not dissing just giving constructive crit.

I thought that the name printed over pictures was more of a kinda 'copy right' thing in a way, as to steal this picture, itd be blatently obvious that it was Grumpy Old Surfer's? Correct me if I'm wrong though...

OK, someone takes it, says its their own...and then what? Seems that a lot of people are very small minded. Most professional (not amateur) photogs tag their photos, but there's not a single one who slaps their name in the middle of the pic. I think the difference is that the pros - and most amateurs - realise that the celebration of the captured frame should be the main point of interest in a photo, not their own stupid name.

Some people seem to have some trouble with the whole 'sharing' of photos thing. If your precious is so precious that you need to stamp your name on it like a primary school kid, then what are you doing putting it up on a surf photo sharing website? The only answer is that your looking for a bit of a hand-job on the ol' ego. I think it sucks, and people like this should stick to masturbation.
