Labeling certain spots secret and suggesting they should be for locals only isn't exactly fair. Respecting the surfing etiquette in the lineup should be enough no matter where you go. Think about it, If you live to surf, you most likely seek the thrill of new waves at new locations and tend to go where the charts show the best conditions. Its just a fact of surfing. we shouldnt feel limited to where we can enjoy the gift of good waves.

i think you should all stop the bitching and just give respect to the people who surf it on a regular basis and have done for years and realise that if all the lads who surf this place rocked up at some spots that were 'secret' to cornish/tynemouth any other people would you all be happy with the instant crowed or us publishing photos of your jems??? just show some respect people will show you it. ive surfed saltburn for 6+ years n have been going down this place for 4 years but only started getting the main waves in the last 2 years usualy surfed the last one on the left i didnt go rocking up to the main wave out of respect for the guys who have surfed it for years

So shots in mags, films, internet, etc have never helped you to find that elusive spot? Nothing is secret anymore, accept it. And I travelled up to this spot two weeks ago when it was 6ft+ and there were only a handful of people - odd that

not suprising when people like you put photos like this up all the time
The Badger Oct 27, 2009 Rating: 2
I dunno about that, it was packed for this session. Half of Cornwall were there!
