Agreed Surfing Chimp. I took balls to take off on that wave but I think it took bigger balls to hang on that lip to get the shot. I bet it's the last photo we see from this guy.
SFRider - He made it out. This is part of a 20 shot series. Both Tyler HollmerX, the rider, and the photographer made it through this situation - a testimony to skill and local knowledge perhaps? Can you accept that?
Stunning photo in every respect. Could those of you out there (and you know who you are!) who rated this a 1 please have the balls to let the rest of us know why...
there's always idiots who don't either understand how rating goes or are just close minded fucks who get thire fix when putting down someone's hard efforts. insane photo, i love it!
watch out guys, the website police are about cracking down on any topic nonwave related(see below). I got busted. Though I must say call of duty 1 is my favorite game when I do break out the PS
The full circle evolution of our time on this planet....start out pathetic and dependant shiting and pissing all over yourself and end up that way too! I'm off to the coast to wash out those marbles.
On the previous line of convo (and i'll probably be chastised for this), i really don't like Call of Duty, to clunky! Give me Resistance 2, Halo or Unreal any day! Not forgetting Doom 2, but thats for different reasons :)
mantis im a tassie living in ireland, the waves are very similar the water temp very similar , the weather pretty much the same and the people are similar as well, Tasmanian Beer is better.
well, I like to think I have an open mind. I have noted the comments. Points taken. and as mentioned below, I am constantly being surprised by surf pics from up there. the only thing I find hard to believe is Aussie beer being better than Irish. Dont tell me you prefer Cascade or Tasmanian Bitter over an Irish ale? I though that was something that part of the world had on us down unda
Mantis my friend, your comments are always patriotic and proud. But sounds like your travel experience may be some what limited. Im aussie and proud living in the UK and let me tell you that although im sure shipstern's is just plain banana's,the Irish have plenty on offer. Search a little longer, travel a little further.
(and if thats not bad enough, I made the mistake and married an Indo gal so I have spent a lot of time on different islands there too. But I have never been to England. Some day)
(there are other countries I have visited and/or lived in but I dont see the point in rambling on about myself. If you want to know more about me, read my profile)
i agree with you, its a sick angle! reminds me of one of those moments when you just get over the shoulder and look back to see someone getting pitted off their nuts..
I was reading a comment from one of our Irish comrads comparing Ireland waves to Aus and how superior Irish waves are in power, size, shape. I just have one question Irish dude-can I buy some pot?
tis true. irish waves are crap, mushy, blown out and cold. you dont want to come here you'd be disappointed. dispite what people say about sharks too, theres a plenty
well, in all honesty portapotty, should I be so fortunate to travel to beautiful majestic Ireland, it will be with my trout pole. I dont own a wetsuit and I just think I have all the good surf I need here and in Indo
