Let me be the first to write a rude comment about other people and point out that the North coast is better than the south, America is better than Britain but South Africa is the best, none of you know what you're talking about, you're all kooks and shit fuck shit fuck hatred.

Sorry, you were all being so very nice to each other and normally at least one person ruins it by calling someone a bummer or something so I thought I might do it for once. You bummers.

Yeah I have to be really careful who is over my shoulder when I am checking the surf on the webcam for this spot. They may think I am into some really dark twisted porn.

Love this place. The waves are perfect here when the banks are good - this looks like one of those days. Beautiful.
DoAPooAndGambole Feb 16, 2010 Rating: 0
let me be the first to say that where the photographer is standing is where people tend to go to take a dump. anyway, love this place, if there isnt a wave here there isnt one in all of the southwest

well i have seen the north flat and the south absolutely pumping, but gwenvor isnt exactly north coast and the spot you talk about would need a strong enough swell that would surely show up on gwenvor, hmmmmm ...
Rick79 Feb 16, 2010 Rating: -2
...unless there's a Southerly swell in which case this place could be flat but a certain theatrical beach 10 minutes down the road could be pumping....

If the pooh doesn't get you the adders might. One thing that is a shame about this spot is that just to the right over the wall in full view of the beach there's usually a big pile of rubbish where people that can't be bothered to take their crap back to the campsite/car is left and it's an eyesore.

Great photo with nice contrast between the waves, rocks, trees, sky, sun, shadow...all from one point but together creating a complimentary sense of telluric strength and beauty. Is there a surfer paddling just shoreward from the lip?

It's definitely a very well seen image, having taken images there since 1979 and lived on the campsite that used to be at the top of the cliff at Peace and Plenty for 2 summers - it's not a shot I ever saw, so well done Jacob and exceptionally good image.
