Finally, somebody gets the sarcasm..I grew up in Port Elizabeth, SA and JBay was my home break..This place looks pretty close, so yes a compliment. Granted, not as cold as Canada, but for those of you who think JBay is warm you have obviously never surfed it in July with a 40KM offshore in your face..

Yep, this break does resemble J-Bay, but a quick check of Goggle satellite will confirm it is Lawrence Town Canardia. You can even see those few houses at the end of the beach in the satellite image. Plus, J-Bay has a major settlement all along the beach. Nice shot. Nice wave. Nice place. But! Bloody cold!

um...ja...so i need to tell you that the original comment posted by Soutpeel is probably what is know as a backhand compliment. The author is using dramatic irony to inform the reader that the waves in Nova Scotia may be compared to the waves in Jeffrey's Bay, in terms of class, shape and length of ride. Glad to be of some help. That pic looks mothing like J-Bay. Seriously. Anyone with an afrikaans name like "Soutpeel" is well aware of that.

Ahh but I do believe the sun comes up a little more to the south, outside the frame of this picture. Memories of early morning seshes before working at the beach house there remind me of this, but who cares honestly? Epic day! Though if it was 2pm I'm wondering where everybody is, I know I would have been there at 2pm... makes us seem like a bunch of slackers...
