I was stationed at the US Coast Guard station there in 85-87, I remember many a day surfing there and many a day sitting in the watch tower while on duty wishing I could go (the best days always seem to be on the days you can't surf). I also remember freezing my as off in a 1/4" O'Neill that would flush like crazy.

nice, i was actually up the beach in Deal on this day. right along the north side of that jetty.

More like shoulder high and it was actually shot on the south side of the inlet about 75yrds south of the jetty to be exact.

Great shot! The colors jump right out. Jersey has water like this? I take back some of the things I've said about the east coast. (Fla. notwithstanding)

So if you saw a photo of say Teahupoo, you wouldn't recognise it?? It reminds me off early morning La Graviere, same sort of light, colour, hollowness, even that wedgy bowl you see on the right hander.

Jersey Juice!! As a transplanted Durban boy I will attest that Manasquan is one of the best breaks on the East Coast and when it turns on, can be as good as New Pier
