you call this a crowd??? just a few weeks ago we had really big clean waves, and the pier must've had 50..60 people? something like that... anywho, yep this was about how crowded the pier was today. honestly, I don't mind it.. keeps your social life active!

Hope thats near a road. would hate to thinks you have to treck for that. Or did the photographer spend a few hours getting all the locals down for a shot, to keep the rest of us away. If he did it's a great shot.

banks already gone, and its so hit and miss there, they would have to find it first, not at all consistent, too dependent on wind, swell direction, tide and sand, and once they see this spot above they stay there.so not worried in the least....some people score it, good on em, their not being sheep, but its all down to luck...and as i said, they have to find it first

Funny that , out of the 12 people involved in this shot and if you consider yourself a hell local you would be able to name at least 10 of them. I can and all these guys featured can lay more claim to this wave then me. The young ones " born and bred". It was an incredible few days and one of the best banks we've seen in 20 years. These guys worship this place and devote lives to being "onit". You wouldn't have missed this for anything. Not one splash of agro (mornings). Just sheer joy to be out sharing this spiritual point with mates.

well funny enough i was just around the corner a little ways surfing by myself with 2 mates on very good lefts, but by all accounts from a few friends,around 70 people and crowded, with not much joy for the old timers.as i said, i dont bother there anymore- has to be onshore for me...ps 86 was THE year.

Yeah man you got it..been living here for 20 years now and surfing this spot for 8 years before that..dont even go there any more..totally crowded out with kooks from all over the world..was once my favourite place in the world - now fully colonised.
