Lovely shot. Have managed to see this effect for myself at my local break using the follwing, personally perfected, technique: 1. Wipeout on an embarrassingly rubbish wave that your friends will laugh at you for back at the car (faceplants are good for this). 2. Take a shot of saltwater forcibly through the nose. 3. Try and look directly at the sun at the same time as your eyes start to squint up due to the saltwater sending a horrible pain that settles right between your eyes (works best in winter). Hey presto, effect achieved and no expensive equipment required

"Do not try to surf the wave, that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth... there is no wave."

Was the pic taken out of the place from where a colonascopological thingamajig camera would have done a u-turn to take the shot?....then it makes sense.

Hahahaha...What...Thingamajig?...I'm sorry to be so obsessive about correct spelling. We used to be able to rely on the British for that sort of thing...but ever since we exported rap 'music'(and before that...surfing!)over there, they just dont care about that sort of thing anymore. I think it should be spelled Colonoscopological...if anyone actually ever uses that 'word' again.
