Still at least it livens up the long wait between sets. The only wildlife at my local is after heavy rain when the sewage pipes turn the line up into a germ farm.

The grainy texture of the photograph, the fact that it is in black and white, the title of "Shark"... None of this can fool me! It's just a goldfish. Any idiot can see that!

The photo quality here reminds me of every 'Loch Ness Monster' pic I've seen over the years. There's something not right about it.

Oooooh yeah...judging by that dorsal fin I'd say that shark was big enough to bite someone in half. I presume this surfer lost about half his bodyweight in sweat and shit when that thing popped up. Fu*cking nightmare!

i've always wondered ... why don't surfers in particularly sharky areas have some kind of knife strapped to their wrist? (leg would be better but that could get bitten off first) This may sound stupid at first, its not likely to save you from injury if attacked, but it could put a shark off enough to save your life.

Yeah - in the heat of the moment you are gonna have time to unstrap and try and knife a shark... Most major incidents are one hit and the shark is gone. Maybe if you lucky, the shark will recognise you as a hard core gangster stay clear... innit bruv

hmm, what can you do in this situation? not like you can just turn and madly paddle for the shore, the thrashing will just attract it more... wait for the next wave, and make damn sure he catches it.
nelch Sep 8, 2010 Rating: 1
that's fine, survival of the fittest and all that, don't need to outrun the shark then, just the spongers.

this is what I did in that situation in Mexico- moved near some bodysurfers and didn't tell them ! Is that wrong?

Sing . . . like you have never sung before. A song so beautiful that sharkimus maximus is lulled into a sleepy trance whilst you make your way, casually back to shore. Just don't sing whatever the Pied Piper was playing =0
