Of course you can surf in board shorts and a t-shirt! I was there last week on a school field trip and about 10 of us thought it would be a good idea to go swimming in the sea...just to say we had! Bare that Iceland is in the artic circle and it is now summer(ish) time....it still actually HURT when we got in as we were all in boardies. Lesson learned. You need a sodding thick wetsuit and balls of steel if you wana surf up there...anyone that does has my respect!
