Big up the Ho! My home break :) Was soooo good last week, once in a blue moon. Everythings got to be just right, long period small groundswell, light offshore. If you can't tick these boxes go to Saunton...

If there was ever a case for an artificial reef this shot has to be it!
simonafloat Sep 10, 2010 Rating: 2
Agreed. The beach gets the swell but its as flat as a snooker table. Problem would be the tide range, it'd only work for a few minutes!

Right place right time. Excellent shot. would have loved to have seen this.

Are you sure this is in England- This looks very much like Wainui Beach in Raglan. Headlands to the North as well as the flax bush's in the foreground.

those lines should be in holland, only england is in the way. Sad they never made it to the surfers who really deserve them
nookeydookey Sep 8, 2010 Rating: 1
If England wasn't where it is half of Holland would be under water from those savage Atlantic storms!
doc hanns Sep 8, 2010 Rating: 0
England may rest where it is! If th British Isles weren't in the way of these swells there probably would be some nice pointbreaks in the area around Hooge Veluwe. Scheveningen or Domburg would be history.

come on now lads! Canada.. thats where the real f'ing problem lies right there! :/
Ron Gilchrist Sep 6, 2010 Rating: 2
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a point for these lines to break off. Looks cool though.
Drew Peacock Sep 25, 2010 Rating: 1
the point is that 3 weeks later it did the same thing on a spring tide.
akire Sep 6, 2010 Rating: 1

reminds me of my favourite pair of blue corduroys when i was 11. There are other towns in Britain with punctuation in their names, like Grimsby?!?
SurfaPuraVida Sep 6, 2010 Rating: 1
Ozzie Osborne would be going crazy for those lines, back in the day, Mae.
The Man With No Name Sep 6, 2010 Rating: 15
For our American cousins - Please note Westward Ho! is a place not the description of a travelling female
Tequila Sunrise Sep 6, 2010 Rating: 9
Where does this Ho hang out? Bristols area? Wouldn't mind cornwalling her.
