Here's my latest creation- an 11'3.5" hollow wood stand up paddleboard. I just finished building it. It's made of mahogany, balsa, flamed maple, and cocobolo rosewood, and the inlay is various woods and abalone shell. The inlay is the Virgin Islands flag. The board is my own design and dubbed the "Malco" and is going to be marketed in kit form at www.woodsurfboardsupply.com This was the prototype. The lovely model is Amy, my fiance'. The location St. Thomas, VI's East side (not quite Hull Bay, but that was the only choice on the dropdown list, and that's where it will be surfed the most). So now I guess we will get to hear 101 lame wood jokes. I'd prefer to hear how you like the board!

Very nice, I've made a couple (am in the midst of #5) Jensen style retro shortboards, I really want to make a l.b. or s.u.p., they take a damn long time though! that inlay work you did looks amazing, my stuffs a lot more crude then that, beautiful work, keep it up!!!!

Thanks! It's like the Jensen method, but he glasses the inside. I spreayed the inside with a waterproofing agent (just in case) and inside the board is a frame like an airplane wing.

LOL!!! Yes, it's actually a short board. I wiped out on a big wave and ended up in Lilliput. This Lilliputian found my board and returned it. :)
