What a fantastic photo! I love the composition of the whole thing! It has every aspect that a good surf shot needs to be considered classic, the sea. It is really atmospheric due to the wave and the ripples on the water. It has sky in it too, which is very nice, but I do prefer the sea in it. Its a good sea. Well done!

I won't shed any tears if a jet skier gets hammered, leave the piece of crap at home and surf the biggest wave you can without it.

first of all i dont tow in, second of all no one tows in at waimea, third of all the guy on the jet ski is WATER PATROL, and fourth of all youve probably never even been to hawaii u dumb haole so ur only making assumptions
Reillser Oct 28, 2010 Rating: -2
Hey I take it as a positive that you tow-in bitches are so offended, and you, Loughan, you're getting really good at this, "Dick Head", wow! What other bad words does mom allow you to use?
808beachbound Oct 25, 2010 Rating: 1
it is water patrol you donkey......no one tows in waimea...and if it wasnt for water patrol half the people out their would be dead...dont make comments until you know what youre talking about

Good come-back loughan, twice, and any Irish man who calls himself Dude needs to pull his head out of his hole, enjoy your wakeboarding lads and try to stay away from real surfers when you're doing it.
carafino Oct 23, 2010 Rating: 0
Thats too bad, I guess you get passed over for that all expense paid tow surfing trip to your favorite magic seaweed dream vacation. Jet ski changed the future of big wave surfing. Dont make a face before you taste, some kids think its great.

Do water patrol guys regularly ride across the front of 50ft waves when there's nobody out? Nah..... didn't think so. I'm not trying to slag off tow-in, I'm sure they're all brave little water-skiers, it's just not surfing though is it??
CatEmpire Oct 22, 2010 Rating: 9
I'm guessing it's water patrol during the eddie, no tow-ins this day. Also don't slag off something you couldn't even imagine doing yourself.

Reminds me of the classic footage of Herbie Fletcher's famous "Ragdoll ride" to the beach. However, I don't believe this fellow is in any position to try to recapture the moment.

What a truly fantastic shot - gives an under-talented surfer like myself some idea of what it must be like to be out there facing these giants!! Definitely a shot to stimulate the flight or fight response !!!
BoroGTI Oct 19, 2010 Rating: 0
he must be struggling to sit on that jet-ski, what with his massive bollocks in the way......love this shot!
SurfingChimp Oct 19, 2010 Rating: -1
