Why is there always a " PHOTOSHOP! " Comment ???? It's like saying you shouldnt use a DSLR camera but still be using a wooden box on a tripod with a hole in the front coz " Thats how REAL photographers do it " !!!??? You can have all the camera techno know how in the world, but if you dont know how to frame a picture and have that eye for what will look good then your wasting your time. Sorry, I'll get ofF my soap box now :0 If I like a photo, I like it. I dont care how it was created and I like this one. Top shot :)

that's not a shaka, thats obamas childhood gang sign, he's just representing the boys n the hood. "40oz in my lap and it freezin my balls"
Bear Kookilicious Jan 19, 2011 Rating: -2
EVERYONE is throwing shakas! - http://surf.transworld.net/files/2009/01/21/obama-shaka.jpg (and that's a head-high wave)
tjo Jan 19, 2011 Rating: 0
as long as theres no dry spots it sounds great. somethings up with my depth perception though, that thing looks head high at least to me (from the front, i didnt see any pics of the back, but heard all about it;-)
maxscab Jan 18, 2011 Rating: -2
Good point tjo, why measure a wave that has already passed you by? That wave is only waist/chest heigh at most but it has craggy gnarly rocks only a foot or so underneath, best left to those crazy spongers. sweet pic though.
tjo Jan 18, 2011 Rating: 2
i know you guys across the pond have been surfing for a few years now, but i didnt realize youre measuring waves island style. thats cute, are you throwing shakas too? you might want to clue in the admin of msw on this, they are still giving reports based on wave face, no?
TruroSurfer Jan 18, 2011 Rating: 0
You do know how to measure wave height don't you? Otherwise you wouldn't be commenting. Just to point out that you measure a wave from the back, not face height. Your also not a guy that say's 'I rode an 10ft wave maaaaan' When really it was 5ft. ;-) Mucho Difference there.
tjo Jan 18, 2011 Rating: 2
3 ft? is that a 1ft high handrail on the pier then? those are tiny bricks they built the pier with also?
TruroSurfer Jan 17, 2011 Rating: -1
5ft wave? Have you been to Leven? Anyone that has would know that wave isn't 5ft, 3ft maybe at a push. And I guess your implying that i've pasted the wave in with my amazing photoshop talents!! ;-)
Bazza Jan 17, 2011 Rating: -1
Still better than mine :(..........Perhaps I should surf less and click more ? What do you think ???? PMSL !

It's a D3, can't remember what shutter speed, maybe bout 1/2 sec.
Barry bog squat Jan 17, 2011 Rating: -11
Yeah, and I'm sure you say that when you get a month long flat spell in the summer, or pull on your soaking wet pissy 5mm boots and gloves in the winter to go and surf 2 foot slop. I'm sure you love where you live you homosapian.
Jamie Monks Jan 17, 2011 Rating: 0
This is an awesome shot! How have you done it? I has a HDR appearance but the wave is more defined than I'd expect.. Great work anyway!
TruroSurfer Jan 17, 2011 Rating: 2
Na, not HDR just slow shutter for the wave and boosted contrast for the pier. Thanks :-)
